The photos of my citytrip to Gent! For me it was the first time visiting Gent. And I have to say I love this city much more then Antwerp. You can find a lot of shops, like Zara, Mango, H&M etc. but also a lot of small shops and thriftstores. Beside that you find on every corner some nice places to eat. Of course you need to try some Belgium fries and a waffle with chocolat or strawberrys if you're visiting Belgium;) The city has a lot of old buildings, it's a "white" city. You can find a lot of big white houses. The streets remembered me a bit of Paris. It was only a 1.5 hour drive from home but I had the feeling I was far away on holiday. We stayed in an Ibis hotel at Nederkouter, near the centrum. Just a simple hotel but it was only a five minutes walk downtown. I also visited a vintage market where I found my coat and gilet I've showed you earlier this week. Gent has every friday, saturday and sunday markets. It's a great city to do some sightseeing or shopping. Btw, saturday night we took a desert at Café René you can find on the corner of  Ajuinlei and Vandeveldestraat. Definitely a hotspot! The desserts were so delicious. Did you ever visit Gent?
